Licensing Opportunities

Kelvin Project MINOS

The Kelvin Institute has developed some early stage antimonide laser technology and is looking for commercial partners to license the technology and fund the development of products based upon it.

The technology is based around gallium antimonide semiconductor devices with the potential for a number of applications in spectroscopy and related fields. Using complex multilayer epitaxial structures, a combination of resonant periodic gain and mirror structures have been developed to be utilised as gain elements in thin semiconductor disc lasers.

Commercial companies active in the field of antimonide lasers, with knowledge of the supply chain are encouraged to contact the Kelvin Institute.
